Where Rascals comes from
Rascals started in New Zealand in 2016 under the name Rascal + Friends. The founder, a mother of four, could not find a diaper that was affordable and still gentle on her son’s eczema-prone skin. She tested hundreds of designs before the first pack went on sale. In 2024 the brand shortened its name to Rascals.
Rascals diapers are dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic, with 0% lotions, latex or fragrance. All Rascals products are certified PETA Vegan and Cruelty Free. The diapers sold in Vietnam are made in China, as printed on the pack.
Tape diapers or pants
Rascals Premium Tape Diapers open flat and close with two side tabs. They are easiest for newborns and for babies who lie still while you change them. In Vietnam they come in NB (3 to 5 kg), S (4 to 8 kg), M (6 to 11 kg) and L (10 to 15 kg). How to fasten them so they hold through the night is on our tape diapers page.
Rascals Premium Training Pants pull up and down like underwear. The UltraFlex 360 waistband has at least 15 pieces of elastic and moves with a baby who crawls, stands and runs. The sides tear open and a disposal tab closes the used pant for the bin, so you never pull a used pant down over the legs. Sizes run M (6 to 11 kg), L (10 to 15 kg), XL (13 to 18 kg), XXL (15 to 20 kg) and XXXL (17 kg and up). Rascals also makes pants printed with CoComelon characters, from M to XXXL. Choosing a size by weight
Rascals sizes go by weight, not by age. If your baby sits between two sizes, Rascals advises trying the smaller one first. Move up a size when the diaper starts to leak, when the tabs no longer reach comfortably over the hips, when the waistband leaves red marks, or when you cannot slide a finger inside it. The Size Finder above asks for age, weight and how active your baby is, and suggests a size.
Inside every Rascals diaper sits the Hydrolock Core with four layers, a fast-dry layer that takes in liquid within seconds, and triple leak guards with a deep pocket. Rascals rates its diapers for up to 12 hours of leak protection. The pack adds that the real time depends on how much your baby wees.

Every size has its own page with the number of pieces, for example tape diapers size M, 60 pieces and pants size L, 52 pieces. A 3-pack bundle holds three of the same pack.
